Mission Statement:

The Hallmark student chapter is committed to producing honest, articulate, relevant, and impactful images for the specific use of photojournalism. In all circumstances, the Hallmark student chapter will uphold the standards and ideals of the National Press Photographers Association. Student members of the Hallmark NPPA chapter will work collectively to learn, practice, and achieve individual and group goals.

Honoring the veterans

Best friends compete together

Campus protest

AMHERST, MASSACHUSETTS, USA - Students and faculty at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMASS) march and rally in support of Jason Vassell. Vassell, an African American student at UMASS, defended himself with a knife against two men who physically attacked him in his dormitory while calling him racial slurs. Vassell was charged with two counts of attempted murder. His supporters feel that he was unjustly charged and that he simply acted in self-defense. 12 March 2008 © Jason Kan
